Wednesday, May 15, 2019

- Read "Good Form" in They Thing They Carried. They should then explain, in paragraph form: 
Explain O'Brien's idea of story truth and happening truth. Detail each and explain how they function differently in a narrative. Using previous chapters, explain why an author would chose to employ each in a narrative.

Thursday, May 16, 2019

- Students will complete the novel.

They should answer:

At the close of the novel, why do you think that O'Brien chose the non-linear style narration and vignette structure for this story? What is the overall impact of these choices? What is the impact of the reader and the tone of the piece?
