- Finish reading "The Thing They Carried", "Love",
- Complete their character charts based on the chart that we started yesterday. They should also answer these questions in paragraph form:
1. Does Jimmy love Martha? Why is this relationship important to Jimmy's characterization? 
2. What are the physical things that they carried physically? Psychologically? 
3. How does Ted Lavender's death act as the anchor point for the first two chapters? Why does O'Brien structure the chapter this way?

Thursday, May 9, 2019
- Read chapter "On the Rainy River" in The Things They Carried.
- Answer:
- What difficult choice does Tim face in this chapter?
- What are his reasons to go? To stay? 
- In the end, why does he make the choice that he does?
- Would you make the same decision that Tim makes or would you chose another path? Why? What would your reasoning be?
